Sunset is the second novel in the Chasing the Sun Duet, although all books in the Hummingbird Island world can be read as standalones. A HOT Beach romance with a guaranteed happily ever after and a second chance, it does have some strong language and oh my, sexy times. Enjoy!

Jasper and Brynn had been so close, but separated and he went to chef school. After five years in NYC, he is back after his father dies, to help his mother. Brynn has lost her parents recently, too, so they both are trying to move on and open their hearts again. The characters are strong and determined. The storyline has plenty of ups and downs, especially the boat in the storm. Friends and family are kept close and are so supportive. A beautiful second and third chance romance that is so emotional. Well done. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I loved everything about this duet and I was so happy I read them back to back . This is Brynn and Jasper’s second chance romance and we are once again back on Hummingbird Island but this time the story is set in the Sunset Inn. Jasper is back on the Island to help his mother run their two restaurants after his father passed away and when Bryan’s chef quits his mother volunteers his services but this couple have a history and he broke her heart once before so how will Brynn feel about working with the man who still haunts her dreams. From the moment these two meet up again, sparks fly or should I say Kiwis.... This is a heartfelt, entertaining, witty read and I’m sure like me you will fall hook, line and sinker for this couple, it’s a story about past love and rekindling love and friendship, it’s about becoming stronger together, it’s captivating, funny and easy to read. This is second chance/small town romance at its best and I highly recommend this duet to all romance lovers. I’m now looking forward to what’s next from the very talented Kaci Rose.

This is the second half of a duo of 2 friends who each run Inns, side by side - Sunrise is the first and now Sunset is its own story about Brynn and Jasper. They have a history and living on a small island everyone knows your business, as gossip travels fast. Will they be able to overcome their feelings, dealing with the past, present and future? Will Jasper be able to convince Brynn to give him another chance and that they are right for each other? The only reason I have to frown about is I found the punctuation made it difficult to read at times, I felt it did not flow properly causing 1 sentence splitting into 2. The heavy use of commas can make the narrative broken and disjointed, like taking a breath in the middle. This however depends on you reading style and others may not agree.
